The AEG450 is an AEG series acoustic/ electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1998. It was produced in Korea.
The AEG450 features a thinner grand concert shaped body with a soft venetian cutaway. The top is flame maple with black and white binding on mahogany back and sides with a high gloss finish. The round soundhole has a black and white purfling rosette. It has a mahogany neck with 21-fret rosewood fingerboard with small white dot position markers. Components include a plastic saddle in an rosewood bridge, white bridge pins, a plastic nut, and Ibanez chrome die-cast tuning machines. Electronics consist of an piezo pickup connected to an Ibanez 4-Band EQ preamp with onboard tuner powered by a 9V battery and ¼" stereo output jack.
The AEG400 is a similar model with spruce top. The AEN480F is a nylon string version with solid spruce top, classical type machine heads, gold hardware and a fishman piezo pickup.
