AEG40Ⅱ Open Pore Antique Brown Sunburst (more images)
The AEG40Ⅱ is an AEG series acoustic/ electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2013. It was produced in China.
The AEG40Ⅱ features a thin grand concert shaped body with a soft Venetian cutaway. The top is solid spruce top with mahogany binding on laminated flamed maple sides and two-piece back with an open pore or low gloss finish. The round soundhole has an abalone rosette. It has a satin-finish mahogany neck with a 25" scale, 21-fret rosewood fingerboard with wooden vine position markers. Components include a plastic saddle in a rosewood bridge, Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a plastic nut, and gold Ibanez die-cast tuning machines. Electronics consist of a Fishman Sonicore pickup connected to an Ibanez AEQ-SP1 preamp with onboard tuner powered by a 9V battery and feeding ¼" stereo output jack.
The AEG30Ⅱ is a similar model with mahogany back and sides and dot fretboard inlays.
