AEG26Ⅱ (Top: Natural High Gloss; Back & sides: Cherry Red High Gloss)
The AEG26Ⅱ is an AEG series acoustic/ electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2015. It was produced in China and sold only in Japan.
The AEG26Ⅱ features a thin grand concert shaped body with a soft Venetian cutaway. The top is laminated spruce with black and white binding on maple burl back and sides with a low gloss natural finish. The round soundhole has an acrylic rosette. It has a satin-finish mahogany neck with a 25" scale, 21-fret rosewood fingerboard with small white dot position markers. Components include a plastic saddle in a rosewood bridge, Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a plastic nut, and gold Ibanez die-cast tuning machines. Electronics consist of a Fishman Sonicore pickup connected to an Ibanez AEQ210TF preamp with onboard tuner powered by a 9V battery and ¼" stereo output jack.
The AEG24Ⅱ is a related model with a flamed maple top and mahogany back and sides.
The AEG26Ⅱ was discontinued after 2016.
