AEG240 Transparent Black Sunburst High Gloss (more images)
The AEG240 is an AEG series acoustic-electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2014. It was the sole model in the short-lived AEG USB sub-series. It was produced in China.
The AEG240 features a thin grand concert shaped body with a soft Venetian cutaway. The top is laminated flamed maple top with black binding on mahogany sides and back with a gloss finish. The round soundhole has an abalone rosette. It has a satin-finish mahogany neck with a 25" scale, 21-fret rosewood fingerboard with small white dot position markers. Components include a plastic saddle in a rosewood bridge, Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a plastic nut, and gold Ibanez die-cast tuning machines with half-moon buttons.
Electronics consist of a Fishman Sonicore pickup connected to a Fishman Sonitone soundhole-mounted preamp powered by a 9V battery and ¼" stereo output jack. The unique feature of this model is a secondary Micro USB output which allows you to connect the guitar directly to a computer or other recording interface.
