AEG24Ⅱ Transparent Hibiscus Red Sunburst High Gloss (more images)
The AEG24Ⅱ is an AEG series acoustic/ electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2013. It was produced in China.
The AEG24Ⅱ features a thin grand concert shaped body with a soft Venetian cutaway. The top is laminated flamed maple top with black and white binding on mahogany back and sides with a low gloss natural finish. The round soundhole has a pearloid rosette. It has a satin-finish mahogany neck with a 25" scale, 21-fret rosewood fingerboard with small white dot position markers. Components include a plastic saddle in a rosewood bridge, Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a plastic nut, and gold Ibanez die-cast tuning machines. Electronics consist of a Fishman Sonicore pickup connected to an Ibanez AEQ210TF preamp with onboard tuner powered by a 9V battery and ¼" stereo output jack.
For 2015 the pearloid rosette was replaced with acrylic.
The AEG24NⅡ is a similar nylon-stringed model. The AEG20Ⅱ is a similar model with an AEQ-SP2 preamp. The AEG15Ⅱ is a related model with a cedar top. The AEG26Ⅱ is a related model with a spruce top and maple burl back and sides. The AEG30Ⅱ is a related model with a solid spruce top with an abalone sound hole rosette and a different preamp.
The AEG24Ⅱ was discontinued after 2017.
