The AEG200 is an AEG series acoustic/ electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2020. It was produced in China.
The AEG200 features a thinner grand concert shaped body with a soft Venetian cutaway. The top is solid Sitka spruce with black and white binding on okoume back and sides with a low gloss finish. The round soundhole has an abalone and wooden rosette. It has a nyatoh neck with a 25" scale, 20-fret ovangkol fingerboard with special white acrylic diamond position markers. Components include a compensated bone saddle in a ovangkol bridge, Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a bone nut, and chrome Ibanez die-cast tuning machines. Electronics consist of an Ibanez T-bar II undersaddle pickup connected to an Ibanez AEQ-TTS preamp with onboard tuner and LCD display powered by a 9V battery and ¼" stereo output jack.
The body length was very slightly increased for 2023. For 2024 the name of the neck profile was changed, but the listed dimensions were unchanged.
The AEG220 is a similar model with a solid okoume top with pau ferro binding. The AEG62 is a related model with a laminated sapele top.
The AEG200 was discontinued after 2024.
