The AEF37E is an AEF series acoustic-electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2011. It was produced in Indonesia.
The AEF37E features a feed-back resistant AEF body with a Venetian cutaway constructed of a laminated quilted maple top with black and white multi-binding on laminated quilted maple sides and back with a high gloss finish. The round soundhole has an abalone rosette. It has a mahogany neck with a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearloid and abalone split block position markers. Components include an Ivorex II compensated saddle in a rosewood bridge, Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, an Ivorex II nut, and chrome Ibanez Smooth Tuner AS die-cast tuning machines.
Electronics consist of a Fishman Sonicore undersaddle pickup connected to an Ibanez SST Shape Shifter preamp with onboard tuner powered by a 9V battery and feeding balanced XLR and ¼" outputs.
For 2013 the nut and saddle were changed to plastic and the tuners were changed to Ibanez die-cast units.
The AEF30E is a similar model with a flamed maple body and a pearloid rosette.
The AEF37E was discontinued in 2014.
