The AEF28S is an AEF series acoustic/electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2001. It was produced in South Korea.

The AEF28S features a cutaway body shape with a solid Englemann spruce top with an arched mahogany back and mahogany sides mated to a set-in mahogany neck with a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard with rounded edges and white dot position markers. The soundhole is round with a decorative abalone rosette. Components include a compensated Ivorex saddle in a rosewood bridge with plastic pins, a plastic nut, and gold die-cast tuning machines.

The AEF28CS is a similar model with a solid cedar top.

The AEF28S was discontinued after 2002.
