The AE300MWJR is a short-scale AE series acoustic-electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in late-2023. It was produced in China.
The AE300MWJR features a downsized AE Junior body with a Venetian cutaway shape constructed of a torrefied solid myrtlewood top with scalloped cross-bracing on laminated myrtlewood sides and back with Tone Projection cross bracing and a gloss finish. The soundhole is round with an abalone and maple rosette. It has a satin-finished nyatoh neck with a 607mm (23⅞") scale and a 20-fret Macassar ebony fingerboard with white dot position markers. Components include a compensated bone saddle in a Macassar ebony bridge with Ibanez Advantage pins, a bone nut, and chrome open gear tuning machines. Electronics consist of a T-bar undersaddle pickup connected to an Ibanez Custom Electronics preamp mounted internally, powered by a pair of button cells, and feeding a ¼" endpin output.
The AE300FBJR is a related model with solid Sitka spruce top and flamed blackheart back and sides. The AE300ZRJR is a related model with solid Sitka spruce top and ziricote back and sides.
The AE300MWJR was a spot model which was produced for just a few months before being discontinued at the end of 2023.
