The AE2412 is a twelve string AE series acoustic/electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2018. It is produced in China.
The AE2412 features a Venetian cutaway body shape with a solid mahogany top with scalloped cross-bracing and mahogany back (with Tone Projection cross bracing) and sides with a gloss finish. The soundhole is round with an abalone and maple rosette. It has a satin-finished mahogany neck with a 20-fret ovangkol fingerboard with special mother of pearl position markers. Components include a compensated bone saddle in a ovangkol bridge with Ibanez Advantage pins, a bone nut, a tortoise pickguard and chrome die-cast tuning machines. Electronics consist of a T-bar undersaddle pickup connected to an Ibanez Custom Electronics preamp mounted internally with a ¼" endpin output.
For 2019 the top was changed from solid mahogany to solid okoume, the back and sides from mahogany to okoume, the neck from mahogany to nyatoh and the fretboard and bridge from ovangkol to katalox.
The AE245 is a similar six string model.
The AE2412 was discontinued after 2019.
