The AE15 is an AE series acoustic/ electric guitar model with strings introduced by Ibanez for 1995. It was produced in South Korea.
The AE15 features a AE shaped body with a soft venetian cutaway. The top is spruce with white and black binding on maple back and sides. The round soundhole has a black and white purfling rosette. It has a satin-finish mahogany neck with a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers and a matching headstock. Components include a rosewood bridge with black or white pins, a black compensated saddle, a plastic nut, and Die-cast tuning machines. Electronics consist of a W-500 piezo pickup with an Ibanez on-board AEQ-10 4-band EQ preamp.
The AE15FM is a related model with flamed maple top. The AE15N is a related model with cedar top, mahogany body, classic gold tuners and different electronics. The AE10 is a related model with mahogany or nato body.
