The AB50 is an Artstar Bass series semi-acoustic body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 1990. It was produced in Japan.

The AB50 features a semi-acoustic single-cutaway design with an arched maple top with ƒ holes and ivory binding on maple back and sides mated to a set-in maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with ivory binding and pearl dot position markers and black side dots. Components include a pair of IBZ Humbucker passive pickups, a special bridge, Sure Grip III knobs, a plastic nut and chrome plated Ibanez tuning machines.

For 1992 the bridge was changed from special to standard.

The AB50 was discontinued after 1992.
