The AAD170CE is an acoustic/ electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in late 2020. It is among the initial models in the new Advanced Acoustic series. It is produced in China.
The AAD170CE features a grand dreadnought body shape with an Advanced Access cutaway constructed of a solid Sitka spruce top with X-M bracing on laminated okoume sides and back with a low gloss finish. The soundhole is round with a wooden multi rosette with binding and the top is bordered with black binding. It has a low oval grip Thermo-aged nyatoh neck with a 20-fret ovangkol fingerboard with a rounded edge and small white dot position markers. Components include a compensated bone saddle in a scalloped ovangkol bridge with black Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a bone nut, a red tortoise pickguard and chrome Ibanez die-cast tuning machines. Electronics consist of an AP11 magnetic pickup mounted at the end of the fretboard with volume and tone controls and a ¼" end-pin output.
The AAD170LCE is a left-handed version. The AAD190CE is a similar model with a solid okoume top. The AAD100E is a related model without the cutaway and with plastic nut and saddle and some cosmetic differences. The AAD300CE is a related model a Macassar ebony fretboard and bridge, dual outputs and some cosmetic differences.
