The AAD100E is an acoustic/ electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in late 2020. It is among the initial models in the new Advanced Acoustic series. It was produced in China.
The AAD100E features a grand dreadnought body constructed of a solid Sitka spruce top with X-M bracing on laminated okoume sides and back with an open pore finish. The soundhole is round with a wooden multi rosette and the top is bordered with black binding. It has a low oval grip Thermo-aged nyatoh neck with a 20-fret ovangkol fingerboard with a rounded edge and small white dot position markers. Components include a plastic saddle in a scalloped ovangkol bridge with black Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a plastic nut, a red tortoise pickguard and chrome Ibanez die-cast tuning machines. Electronics consist of an AP11 magnetic pickup mounted at the end of the fretboard with volume and tone controls and a ¼" end-pin output.
The AAD100 is a pure acoustic version. The AAD1012E is a similar twelve string model. The AAD170CE is a related model with a cutaway body and bone nut and saddle and some cosmetic differences.
