The 950 (also referred in some markets as model 637BS) is a Vintage series acoustic guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1976. It was crafted in Japan.
The 950 features a dreadnought body with a selected close-grained spruce top on aged mahogany back and sides with a high gloss finish. The round soundhole is trimmed with black and white marquetry rosette and a tortoise shell colored pickguard. The slim mahogany neck has a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot position markers. Components include a compensated plastic saddle in an adjustable rosewood bridge with white bridge pins, a plastic nut, and chrome plated machine heads.
For 1978, the model name/number was changed to 637BS with the same specifications and a new headstock design.
