The 92UCGR1 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1992. It was produced in the United States as part of the Custom Graphics series of the USA Custom line. The Custom Graphics models feature bodies which are handpainted in California by American artist Dan Lawrence with a variety of images.
The 92UCGR1 features a basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with sharktooth position markers. Components include a DiMarzio Double Whammy humbucking pickup at the bridge paired with a DiMarzio-made USA/IBZ C2 single-coil at the neck, a Lo-Pro Edge double locking tremolo bridge, a locking nut and Gotoh tuning machines.
This represents only the "stock" configuration, as customers could customize the guitar to their own desires. The customer could select the pickup configuration and pickups, the fretboard material and inlays, the headstock, the hardware color and more.
The 92UCGR1 was discontinued after 1992 along with the rest of the USA Custom line.
