The 683 is a Concord series acoustic guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1974. It was made in Japan.
The 683 features a grand concert body shape with a fine grained spruce top on mahogany back and sides with a high gloss finish. The round soundhole has a black-purfling rosette and a ornate hummingbird pickguard. The mahogany neck has a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearloid parallelograms position markers, the headstock features a black overlay with white Ibanez logo. Components include a plastic saddle in an adjustable rosewood bridge with ivory bridge pins, a plastic nut, and chrome plated machine heads.
The 684 and 684/12 are related models with dreadnought bodies.
