The round soundhole is trimmed with black and white marquetry rosette and a black pickguard. The maple neck has a 21-fret rock maple fingerboard with a fancy wood binding, black dot position markers and white side dots and a blonde headstock. Components include a plastic saddle in an elegant rosewood bridge with white bridge pins, a plastic nut, and gold plated machine heads.

The 670 is a similar six-string model.

The 670/12 was discontinued after 1978. The 671/12 is related model with maple and jacaranda back.
