The 5902 is a Goldentone solid electric bass guitar model sold by Ibanez in 1962. It was made in Japan. It is based on the original Burns Bison model.

The 5902 features a "Bull Horn" double cutaway solid mahogany body bolted to a selected maple neck with truss rod and a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard with black dots position markers and a matching headstock. Components include a pair of "Toaster" type chrome single coil pickups with volume and tone controls. Standard fixed bridge with plate cover, four pearloid pickguards with hand rest, chrome plated Hercules B tuning machines and chrome plated hardware.

Later models come with the Ibanez logo on a matching color headstock.

The 5901 is a similar lighter model with only one pickup.
