The 540S-SH is an S series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1988. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the Roadstar Pro series.
The 540S-SH features a sculpted mahogany body bolted to a maple Wizard neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include DiMarzio-made IBZ/USA pickups with an F2 humbucker at the bridge and a C2 noiseless, stacked single-coil at the neck, an Edge double locking tremolo bridge with a Back Stop stabilizer and Gotoh tuning machines.
Each pickup is controlled by a separate toggle; the one for the bridge has a additional coil split position.
The 540S-SH was discontinued after just a single year in production.
