The 450S is an S series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1990. It was originally part of the Roadstar Pro series. The 450S was produced in Japan by FujiGen.
The S series is distinguished by the sleek double cutaway body shape which is arched on the top and back resulting in a fairly light guitar with thin edges.
The 450S features a mahogany body bolted to a maple Wizard neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. It has dual Ibanez Vintage humbucking pickups mounted in pickup rings at the bridge and neck flanking a single-coil. Components include an Edge double locking tremolo bridge and a locking nut. The 450S has a traditional bolt-on neck joint with a stamped metal plate.
The 540SLTD is a related model with DiMarzio-made pickups and sharktooth fretboard inlays. The 440S is a similar model with a single-coil pickup in the neck position.
The 450S was discontinued after 1992, being essentially replaced by the S470.
