The 440SⅡ is an S series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1990. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the Roadstar Pro series. The model name was also presented as 440S II or 440S-II. In the US market, this model was referred to as the 440S, although that model name was used in other markets for a similar model with a double locking tremolo.

The S series is distinguished by the sleek double cutaway body shape which is arched on the top and back resulting in a fairly light guitar with thin edges.

The 440SⅡ features a mahogany body bolted to a maple Wizard neck with an angled headstock and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. It has an Ibanez humbucking pickup mounted in a pickup ring at the bridge position and Ibanez single-coil pickups in the neck and middle positions. Components include an HQ-J synchronized tremolo bridge and Gotoh locking tuning machines. It has a traditional bolt-on neck joint with a stamped metal plate.

In 1990 the 440SⅡ had Ibanez V2/S1/S1 pickups. These were swapped for V6/S3/S2 pickups for 1991.

The 440S is a similar model with a double locking tremolo and locking nut. The 430SⅡ is a similar model with three single coil pickups.

The 440SⅡ was discontinued after 1991.
