The 440S is an S series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1990. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the Roadstar Pro series.

The S series is distinguished by the sleek double cutaway body shape which is arched on the top and back resulting in a fairly light guitar with thin edges.

The 440S features a mahogany body bolted to a maple Wizard neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. It has an Ibanez Vintage humbucking pickup mounted in a pickup ring at the bridge position and Ibanez single-coil pickups in the neck and middle positions. Components include an Edge double locking tremolo bridge and a locking nut. It has a traditional bolt-on neck joint with a stamped metal plate.

The 440SⅡ is a similar model with a synchronized tremolo and locking tuning machines. The 450S is a similar model with a humbucker in the neck position.

The 440S was discontinued after 1992.
