The 425 is a hollow body archtop style electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1965. It was crafted in Japan.

The 425 features a thin-hollow body design with arched mahogany top, ƒ holes and black and white multi-binding on mahogany back and sides with a single Venetian cutaway mated to a set-in maple neck with 20-fret rosewood fingerboard, pearl block position markers with a pair of dots at 12 fret and a matching headstock. Components include a pair of "Teisco" magnetic singel coil pickups with adjustable polepieces under each string, a brown pickguard, volume an tone controls, an standard bridge with Deluxe vibrato tailpiece, chrome plated machine heads with pearl buttons.

The 420-T is a similar model with selected curly maple top, pearl dot fingerboard inlays and shell color pickguard. The 430 is a similar model with blonde finish.
