The 3557/12 is a 12-string Tama acoustics series acoustic guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1974. It was made by Tama Seisakusho Co. in Aichi, Japan.
The 3557/12 (also referred to as 3557S/12) features a dreadnought body with finest close-grained spruce top with an abalone binding on carefully selected jacaranda back and sides. The round soundhole is trimmed in three rings with an abalone center ring rosette and a black pickguard. The hand-shaped mahogany neck with adjustable truss rod has a 20-fret polished rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers and a rosewood headstock. Components include a plastic saddle in a fancy styled adjustable rosewood bridge, a bone nut, and chrome plated Smooth tuner machine heads.
The 3557S is a similar six-string model. The 3560/12 is a similar model with indian-rosewood back and sides.
