1971 TAMA 3556S-NT
3556 Natural Red copyright sprite

The 3556 (also referred to 3556S) is a TAMA branded grand concert model introduced by Ibanez for 1974. It was made by Tama Seisakusho Co. in Aichi, Japan.

The 3556 features a grand concert body shape with selected solid spruce top on jacaranda back and sides. The soundhole is round and trimmed with black and white multi purfling rosette. It has a hand-shaped mahogany neck, a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with a pearl dot inlays. Components include an ebony bridge with white pins, a bone nut, black pickguard and chrome plated machine heads.

The 3556P is a similar model with special plywood top. The 3554 is a related model with rosewood body.

The 3556 was discontinued after 1976.
