The 3555P is a Tama acoustics series acoustic guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1971. It was made by Tama Seisakusho Co. in Aichi, Japan.
The 3555P features a dreadnought body with special plywood top bound with a with simulated pearl bindig on rosewood back and sides. The round soundhole is trimmed with multiple inlaid rings rosette and a black pickguard. The hand-shaped mahogany neck with adjustable truss rod has a 20-fret ebonized rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers and a rosewood headstock. Components include a plastic saddle in an adjustable rosewood bridge, a bone nut, and Smooth Tuners machine heads.
The 3555 is a related model with a fine close-grained geniune solid spruce top. The 3550P, 3554P, 3556P and 3557P are other models with plywood top.
