The 3548 is an Tama acoustics series classical guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1971. It was made by Tama Seisakusho Co. in Aichi, Japan.
The 3548 (also referred to 3548S) features a grand concert body shape with selected solid spruce top on rosewood back and sides. The soundhole is round and trimmed with an intricate inlaid wood rosette. It has a hand-shaped mahogany neck, a 19-fret ebony fingerboard with a rosewood headstock. Components include a none compensated bone saddle in a polished rosewood bridge with tie block, a bone nut, and gold plated machine heads with butterfly-shaped buttons.
The 3550 is a similar model with solid spruce top (1971–1974) or solid cedar top (1975–1976) and jacaranda back.
