1978 Andorra Pro 2861-NT
2861 Natural Red copyright sprite

The 2861 is an Andorra Pro series acoustic guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1976. It was handmade in Japan.

The 2861 features a concert body shape with a solid spruce top on jacaranda back and sides. The soundhole is round and trimmed with very intricate inlaid wood marquetry rosette. It has a mahogany neck, a 19-fret ebony fingerboard with a rosewood headstock. Components include a none compensated bone saddle in a rosewood bridge with tie block, a bone nut, and hi-gold engraving tuning machine with pearloid buttons.

For 1978 the top was changed to solid cedar and the back and sides was changed to jacaranda wood.

The 2860 and 2862 are related models.

The 2861 was discontinued after 1979.
