The 2856 is an Andorra series acoustic guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1976. It was made in Japan.
The 2856 features a concert body shape with laminated spruce top on straight grain rosewood back and sides. The soundhole is round and trimmed with a fancy rosette. It has a mahogany neck, a 19-fret rosewood fingerboard with a rosewood headstock. Components include a none compensated bone saddle in a rosewood bridge, a bone nut, and gold plated precise tuning machine with white buttons.
The 2851 is a related model with mahogany back and chrome plated machine heads. The 2855 is a related model with cross grain rosewood back and sides and chrome plated machine heads. The 2856S is a related model with a solid fine grain cedar top on rosewood back and sides. The 2857 is a similar model.
