The 2851 is an Andorra series acoustic guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1976. It was handmade in Japan.
The 2851 features a concert body shape with a laminated spruce top on mahogany back and sides. The soundhole is round and trimmed with a fancy intricate wood marquetry rosette. It has a mahogany neck, a 19-fret rosewood fingerboard with a rosewood headstock. Components include a none compensated bone saddle in a rosewood bridge, a bone nut, and chrome plated precise tuning machine with white buttons.
For 1977 the top was changed to a solid cedar.
The 2855 is a related model with cross grain rosewood back and sides and chrome plated machine heads. The 2856 is a related model with straight grain rosewood on back and sides and gold plated machine heads. The 2857 is a related model with straight grain rosewood on back and sides and gold plated machine heads.
