The 2671S is an Artist series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1977. It was made in Japan by FujiGen. It is associated with American country music artist Randy Scruggs.
The 2671S features a carved ash single-cutaway body with German carve edges, abalone purfling and cream binding mated to a set-in maple neck with a large scroll headstock and a 22-fret ebony fingerboard with binding and abalone and mother of pearl split block position markers. Components include a pair of Super 80 humbucking pickups mounted in black pickup rings with individual volume and tone controls, a Tune-O-Matic style bridge and fancy stop tailpiece, speed knobs with pointers and Smooth Tuner machine heads.
The 2671 is a similar model with vintage vine fretboard inlays and a phase switch. The 2617 is a related Artist model with a double-cutaway body.
