1976 Ibanez 2656ZB
2656 Zebra Red copyright sprite

The 2656 is a solid electric bass guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1976. It was crafted in Japan. It's visually similar to Fender's Jazz bass model.

The 2656 also know as the 2656ZB features a solid burned ash body bolted to a hard rock maple neck with a 20-fret maple fingerboard with pearl block inlays and a matching headstock. Components include a pair of Hi-power bass pickup's, a black pickguard with a wooden tug bar, a plastic nut, a standard bridge with chrome plated tailpiece and cover, chrome plated individual machines heads.

The 2657 is a related model with a precision pickup configuration and black dots fingerboard inlays.

The 2656 was discontinued after 1977.
