The 2635 is an Artist series hollow body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1977. It was made in Japan by FujiGen.
The 2635 features a full-sized, full-hollow body with a Florentine cutaway which is reminiscent of a Gibson ES-175. It has a maple top with ƒ holes and ivory multi-binding on maple back and sides mated to a set-in rock maple neck with a 20-fret ebony fingerboard with ivory binding and pearl and abalone split block position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez Super 80 humbucking pickups with gold covers and individual volume and tone controls, black pickup rings, an ebony bridge with ebony saddle, a custom trapeze tailpiece, a bone and brass nut, speed knobs with pointers, and VelveTune tuning machines with half moon buttons.
For 1978 the knobs were replaced with the new rubberized Sure Grips.
