The 2612 is an Artist series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1973. It was made in Japan.
The 2612 features an arched birch top with black and white binding on a double-cutaway mahogany body bolted to a laminated birch neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and fancy pearloid block with stars position markers and black side dots. Components include a pair of Super 70 humbucking pickups mounted in black pickup rings with individual volume and tone controls, a Tune-O-Matic style fixed bridge with stop bar, black pickguard top hat knobs with pointers and gold plated Deluxe Smooth Tuner machine heads.
The 2611 is a similar model with vibrato. The 2613 is a related model with arched maple top, maple fingerboard and chrome hardware. The 2614 is a related model with arched mahogany top and chrome hardware.
