The 2605 is an Artist series acoustic guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1974. It was produced in Japan.
The 2605 features a jumbo body with fine grained spruce top, black and white binding on selected flamed maple back and sides on cherry sunburst finish. The round soundhole has a beautiful pearl purfling rosette with a fancy mother of pearl inlay on the black pickguard. It has a mahogany neck with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with fancy mother of pearl position markers, white binding and black side dots. Components include a plastic saddle in an adjustable rosewood bridge with fancy mother of pearl inlays, white bridge pins, a bone nut, and chrome plated smooth tuner machines heads.
The 2605 was discontinued after 1978.
