The 2604 is an Artist series acoustic guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1974. It was crafted in Japan.
The 2604 features a dreadnought body with fine grained spruce top on selected flamed maple back and sides. The round soundhole is trimmed with beautiful pearl purfling rosette and a black pickguard with a fancy pearl inlay. The hard mahogany neck with adjustable truss rod has a 20-fret polished rosewood fingerboard with fancy star pearl position markers, black side dots and a black headstock. Components include a plastic saddle in a fancy styled adjustable rosewood bridge with fancy pearl inlays, a bone nut, and chrome plated Smooth tuner machine heads.
The 2603 is a similar model with rosewood body. The 2601 is a related model with queen-mahogany body and chrome plated machine heads.
The 2604 was discontinued after 1978.
