The 2399 is a solid body electric guitar model made by Ibanez for 1976. It was crafted in Japan. It's visually similar to Gibson's L5S guitar model.
The 2399 features singel cutaway carved curly solid maple body with five-layer black and white binding mated to a set-in hard laminated maple neck with a 22-fret ebonized rosewood fingerboard with binding and mother pearl block position markers, black side dots and an open-book headstock. Components include a pair of Ibanez™ Super 70 gold cover pickup's in the neck and bridge positions, a Harmono-matic bridge with T-bar trapeze tailpiece and gold plated smooth tuner individual tuning machines.
The 2399DX is a Deluxe model with a pair of Clear-Sound low-impedance pickup's pickups.
