The 2357DX is a Deluxe semi-hollow body electric bass model made by Ibanez for 1974. It was crafted in Japan. It's visually similar to Höfner's 500/1 violin bass model, (Sometimes nicknamed the "Beatle Bass" or "Cavern Bass").
The 2357DX features a semi-hollow body with violin desing and arched top with white purfled edges bolted to a laminated mahogany neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot position markers and a matching headstock with a triangular white plastic truss rod cover. Components include a pair of Hofner style staple humbucking pickup's, a pearloid pickguard, a bone nut, an adjustable rosewood bridge with steel saddles, chrome plated individual machines heads.
Some models have a black plastic truss rod cover instead of the white.
The 2357 is the standard version of this model with minor changes.
