The 2342IV is a single cutaway body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1977. It is also referred to as the "Sunlight Special" due to its tinted ivory finish and chrome hardware. It was made in Japan by FujiGen Gakki.
The 2342IV is visually similar to Gibson's Les Paul model. It features an African mahogany body with a single cutaway and an arched sh top bolted to a laminated maple neck with an "open book" headstock shape and a 22-fret fingerboard with white dot position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez Super 70 humbucking pickups with individual volume and tone controls and 3-way toggle pickup selector, a Tune-O-Matic style fixed bridge with an Ibanez Deluxe stop tailpiece, and gold plated harware.
The 2342 is a similar model with arched birch top, rosewood fingerboard, black finish and gold hardware.
