1980 Ibanez Cimar 2096-NT

The 2096 was a Cimar branded Stinger series solid body electric guitar model sold by Ibanez for 1980. It was made in Japan.

The 2096 features double cutaway solid ash body bolted to a hard rock maple neck with adjustable truss rod and 22-fret maple fingerboard with black dot position markers. Components include a set of Stinger SB single-coil pickup's in the neck, middle and bridge positions, a solid brasssynchronized fixed bridge, a black pickguard and chrome plated individual tuning machines.

The 2096 features three SB pickups with the option of reversing the phase of the middle pickup for extra versatility. It has solid brass bridge for optimum sustain and individual brass saddle adgustable for accurate intonation and good string action.

The 2099 is a related bass model.

The 2096 was offered only in 1980.
