The 2072 is an Cimar branded solid electric bass guitar model sold by Ibanez in 1981. It was crafted in Japan. It's visually similar to Fender's Jazz Bass model.

The 2072 features a solid burned mahogany body bolted to a maple neck with a 20-fret maple fingerboard with black block position markers and a matching headstock. Components include a pair of jazz Hi-power bass pickup's, a black or white pickguard with a black tug bar, a plastic nut, a standard bridge with chrome plated tailpiece and cover, Wilkinson style chrome plated individual machines heads.

The 2072 was offered only in 1981.
