The 2030 is a solid body short scale electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 1971. It was produced in Japan. It's visually similar to Fender's bass model.

The 2030 features a double-cutaway selected hardwood body bolted to a laminated mahogany neck with a 21-fret ovalled rosewood fingerboard with oblong pearloid block position markers and a matching headstock. Components include a pair of Maxon mini humbucker pickup's with individually adjustable polepieces, a black polished pickguard, a bone nut, an ashtray bridge style, chrome plated individual machines heads.

Some models have white blocks as fingerboard inlays.

The 2020 is the guitar version of this model.

The 2030 was discontinued after 1972.
