Grazie
What's on your mind?
I really want an Ibanez RG420 but am still a relative new player. Can i actually block the trem on this without having to drill/ cut into the body? I think most trem blocks won't work?
I purchased this GB 1979 and would like to know more about it.
Could you help me get more information about her? what is the fair price for it?
Thanks a lot.
I own two ART300s and one ART400. And I used to own an ART420. I've discovered that the ART400 has a thinner body thickness than these other models, and I like that. Can anyone tell me what other models in the ART series have thinner bodies like the ART400?
Pic added for attention. ;0)
So i got my hands on an old ibanez. I looked up the serial number but only found out it was made in Japan in 87.
Can anyone help me identify the model? Thanks
So, my boyfriend has a couple Ibanez's and hes always cleaning his strings with rubbing alcohol. He said theres "special cleaner" for the strings but its "crazy expensive", were his words. I am now searching for a cleaner. Anyone have any suggestions? I have little experience with anything guitar related, so this would really help. TYIA!
I got this bass for 143$ but I don't have any information about, neither the official page of Ibanez. Is this model or serie still manufactured? what is the real price for this instrument? is a basic, intermediate or pro serie? who is it recommended for?

Hi! As stated, I was changing strings and lost one of the string ferrules and have been trying to find replacements with little luck. Lots of Tele ferrules. Got a pair from Amazon that's much too small. Been tricky trying to find the right size. The measurements I believe, should be about 1.1 cm in length, 0.7cm top diameter, 0.5 cm bottom diameter (maybe not exact but close).
ANYWAY I AM DYING TO REPLACE THESE AND PLAY THIS GUITAR. Any help appreciated I would include a pic as well, it is a pretty boy :)
Comments on Ibanez hard cases(MF100C) please? Are they as good as the Hiscox brand? Good for a flight?
Does anyone know what is under the pick guard of the earlier model GAX30? Is it solid or does it cover a cavity/routing?
Looking around the classifieds I stumbled across an elderly guy selling an Ibanez Concord (which he says is Model no 50899 - not serial) acoustic on behalf of his son, but I can't find any info on this. I know it's made in Japan, and I have some pics from the seller, but before I can get to see it (pandemic times is not easy to travel to view) I wanted to know what it could be worth as it seems to be in mint condition.
Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Hello, I got this guitar as a second-hand guitar from my friend. Can you help me to identify what RG series is this Ibanez? The serial code on the headstock are A06030122
Some of the components have already been replaced like the switch and the bridge pickups.
The Neck Pickup keeps on sinking in, but thanks to the screw mechanism I can just tighten the screws and its back up. This is a pain and I finally realized the little spring that lets it go up and down is dislodged from the screw mechanism.
Also, about a year after I bought this guitar (I have the new Zealand pine fretboard) I've started to feel like there might have been better options, I'm attracted to the GRG121dx because of its fully matte black pickups. I'm pretty sure the infinity's sound better and I liked the red and the sharktooth inlays but there were much cheaper ones with tremolos that looked more modern and either worse or similar pickups. Anyway, I think I would have to take off the strings, the red pickguard and re-allign the pickups but I want to know if anyone else has this problem
I was wondering if you can help me with the year/model of my Ibanez. It's an Ex series and has only a 7 digit code on the back (made in Korea). Bought in the USA around 1994 or 1995 I believe. But have no idea what exactly the model or production year it is.
Hi guys, first post here and looking for some help. Does anyone have any idea what this body or neck is? the serial number of the neck suggests it's a premium from 2015 but it doesn't have the premium tag above the ibanez logo on the headstock. I also have no idea what this body is from so some help on that would be greatly appreciated :) I thought maybe it could be an rg721 neck but it doesn't seem quite the same...
I'm not sure it doesn't have the model name on it.
Hi, any clue as to what model this is? The stamp reflects 'quality and inspection approved by Ibanez, 09.1.14 - W.Zhang" and the serial number is J081251181. Any thoughts on model and current value? Thanks!
My beloved 540R was stolen almost exactly two years ago... it had a traditional push-in tremolo arm (the kind with the two nylon bushings). It worked perfectly... very steady feel, snug in its socket, neither swinging loosely nor too tight to move easily, super comfortable and agreeable.
Both of my subsequent locking trem guitars (an RG3XXV and an S670QM) have the Edge Zero II trems, which feature a tremolo arm with a screw-on torque adjustment cap to adjust the tightness of the tremolo bar. There is a single bushing on the arm just under the cap.
The problem: when the torque cap is screwed on loosely, there's play in the arm... it can rattle and wobble around in its socket slightly rather than fitting snugly. On the other hand, if I tighten the torque cap enough to make it feel snug, every time I swing the bar up into playing position and then put it down again, the rotation of the bar in its socket loosens the torque cap and it wants to rattle about again.
This is absolutely maddening. I did three straight months of daily shows in which I was forced to constantly retighten the cap after every use of the tremolo. I found myself adjusting it endlessly throughout every performance, and I never knew which aggravation... a wobbly whammy bar or one too tight to manipulate comfortably... I was going to wind up with. It started to affect my focus onstage, and my eagerness to use the tremolo at all... it just became a massive hassle.
I love all of my Ibanez guitars, and I refuse to believe this is a design choice that someone let out the door with the issues I'm describing... I'm convinced I'm doing something incorrectly. Unfortunately, everything I can find about these trems involves setup of the spring system itself. Surely I'm missing something. Am I the only one having this problem? Is there any way I can replace this godawful thing with a push-in bar, or am I just an idiot?! Please helllllpII
